Our clients wanted to transform their dark, gloomy Grade II listed basement apartment, into a bright, contemporary inviting place, where paying guests would want to stay again and again.
Due to regular visitor numbers, the apartment had to be practical and easy to maintain as well as stylish & cheerful, all whilst keeping a sense of the original Georgian character.
Situated a stones throw from Brighton’s famous beach, the basement unfortunately lacked the view, so we bought some of the fun seaside colours into the design, with aquamarine wall shapes (similar shade to the Brighton railings) ice cream pinks and sandy neutrals, all accented with a grounding black.
