Interior design fees vary depending on the size, scope and complexity of a project.

Every Elixir residential project begins with a £300 Interior Design Consultation. Full interior design for an individual room typically starts from £5,000, with larger and whole-home projects individually scoped and quoted following the consultation.

Furniture, lighting, furnishings and other items specified for your project are additional to the design fee.

For residential projects, I work primarily on a fixed-fee basis, with fees tailored to the agreed scope of work and clearly set out before each stage begins.

Where sourcing and procurement form part of the service, this is detailed separately within the proposal. Any trade discounts I receive are passed on to my clients in full.

Commercial and hospitality projects are individually scoped according to their particular requirements.

The Interior Design Consultation is the starting point for every residential project and can also be booked as a standalone service.

During the approximately 90-minute consultation, we’ll explore your home, ideas, priorities and any design challenges, discussing areas such as layout, colour, materials, lighting and overall design direction as relevant to your project.

If you’d like to continue working with Elixir afterwards, I’ll use what we’ve discussed to develop a tailored project brief and fee proposal.

Ideally, as early as possible.

For renovations, extensions or projects involving architectural changes, involving your interior designer during the early planning stages allows decisions around layouts, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, finishes and furniture to be considered together rather than retrospectively.

Elixir can also work alongside your architect, contractor and other specialists as the project develops.

Yes. Residential projects range from the redesign of individual rooms to multiple spaces and complete homes.

The level of service is tailored to the project, whether you need help transforming a particular space or developing a cohesive interior throughout an entire property.

Yes. Period properties are a particular area of experience and interest for Elixir, including listed buildings and Brighton & Hove’s Regency and Victorian homes.

My approach is to respect the architecture and character of the building while introducing contemporary colour, materials, lighting and detail – creating interiors that feel relevant to how we live today.

Elixir Interior Design works primarily across Brighton & Hove and Central London, with remote consultations also available.

For suitable larger residential, turnkey and commercial or hospitality projects, work further afield can also be considered.

Yes. Elixir’s Turnkey Interior Design service is particularly suited to overseas owners, second-home owners and clients who may not be able – or simply don’t want – to manage all the individual decisions, sourcing and installations involved in creating their home.

I can provide a trusted local design presence, coordinating the interior design, sourcing, procurement and furnishing stages and working with appointed contractors, trades and specialist suppliers as required.

Yes. Alongside residential interiors, Elixir works on boutique hospitality and luxury holiday accommodation, as well as selected workplace projects.

Recent hospitality work includes a four-year transformation of 29 Regency Square in Brighton, a Grade II* listed Regency townhouse, creating ten individually designed luxury holiday suites.
